Wii have entered the future...

... a few years behind.  Our Wii finally arrived and was worth the wait.  It was a graduation gift from Kelli's parents.  I think the highlight of the first evening was watching my mother-in-law almost fall off the couch laughing as I started to run to first base while playing baseball.

In other news I truly am 10 years old again as I have a joined a kickball team with some co-workers through Underdog Sports Leagues in Portland.  We won our first game last night and I even had a couple of kicks and scored a run.  Kelli thinks I am crazy, but it is so much fun and more of a workout than I thought or remembered kickball to be!

Not a loyal blogger

Well, we're a little busy to be loyal blog posters but, believe me we do love blogging. We are loyal fans to the Coburn family blog as well as our grad blog. We ourselves however do forget to post!! We just read and contribute to your wonderful blogs!

O.k. blog buddies here goes:

We are still happy to be done with grad school. We praise the Lord every weekend that we're done and can move on with our lives!! See our happy faces above at the Portland graduation. (We will not be going back to Cambridge for the actual ceremony)

Randy and I just received our new contracts which promise us teaching positions for what seems like forever. Always a good thing. I was "informed" that I'll be teaching a 1/2 blended class (this will hopefully change to a 2nd grade position after we look at what our applicant pool looks like- my building is hiring at almost all grade levels..) and Randy is staying at 1st grade.
Leo graduated from dog class last weekend! Yea, Leo!! We knew you were a smart boy. I'll try and post a picture of that monumental event. Unfortunately Randy's hand is in every picture so just excuse that.

In other news, if you get a chance google: lord save us from your followers. This is a great documentary done by a producer at our church. After being shown at several churches it is actually going to hit the secular market. Great press for real salvation and not the wacko-ness that some attribute to the church.

Check back, I might just post again!

Happy Leo

Leo as his usual happy go-licky self.  The second picture is what Dave at daycare calls his 'Jack Nicolson' smile as the Joker.  Kelli spent five minutes with the camera last night and did nothing but have him sit and then took his picture.  What a ham!
In other news, we are looking forward to spring break and some down time from the kiddos at school, but we must survive conferences first!

Our First No Class Weekend!!!

This weekend marks our first month of not going to class.  We are busy today with a graduation ceremony, not as fancy as the real one in May in Cambridge, but it will still be fun to get together with our cohort mates and meet their families.  Tomorrow is another busy day with our graduation open house.

In other news, Henry and Leo are fine, not friends yet, but they are sleeping in the same room at night.  Leo is enjoying showing how smart he is at his dog class and playing with his new dog friends at daycare once a week.  Henry is enjoying being himself and running the house, especially the recent sunny days watching birds from the windows.

Kelli and I are busy with school and looking forward to some down time over spring break!

Our new Dood

Here are some pictures of Leo our new goldendoodle.  He looks great after his trip to the groomer.  Henry and Leo are doing their snow dances today in hopes that we get snow!

Rainy, cold Saturday

Rainy and cold here today.  Wishing for it to snow, or freeze or do something besides be cold and rainy.  After the week of really cold weather, now it rains.
We added another member to our family this week.  Leo, a two year old goldendoodle, was adopted from the Humane Society on Monday.  It has been a busy week working with Leo on his commands and our boundaries.  Not to mention getting him and Henry, our cat, acquainted with each other.  Henry truly runs the house and managed to antagonize Leo twice the first night by stopping outside the laundry room just long enough to wake Leo up and make him bark.  I will post some pictures soon.

ice

Ice.  It is tough, it is slick, it is silent, it is silly as it laughs at you sliding into things, falling down or crunching your car.

It is January 15, 2008 and I have been blog lazy.  However, we did have a class weekend in there and are now busy with our thesis project.  Kelli and I are excited as we are in the final weeks of our Masters program.
